BioGrad are a Liverpool based company, with a clear mission of providing both gold standard healthcare and education, specialising in scientific research, diagnostic services, and laboratory and clinic based education programmes.

Founded in 2014 by Dr Natalie Kenny and based primarily within Liverpool’s ‘Knowledge Quarter’ at Liverpool Science Park, BioGrad runs a wide variety of its own facilities across the North West which include but are not limited to: research and testing laboratories, teaching laboratories, training clinics and COVID-19 travel testing clinics. BioGrad Education provides immersive laboratory and clinical training courses at their state-of-the-art facilities.

In 2023, BioGrad launched Biobanking with BioGrad; the UK’s second largest biobank facility to provide long term cell banking for NHS trusts, academic researchers and UK families who wish to guarantee safe storage of their samples. Located in Liverpool, it is part of a £7.6m investment into a new headquarters at Wavertree Technology Park. In collaboration with the University of Leicester, BioGrad biobank has already welcomed up to 261,000 samples from the largest long-Covid study in the UK.
