Commitment matters, because opportunity matters

At the Enterprise Vision Awards, every Finalist place represents an achievement and every place is valued.

EVAS is not just about being shortlisted. It’s about showing up, engaging and progressing through the full journey.

The EVAS RAG Timeline is simply our way of being open and transparent about how the awards journey works, what happens at each stage, and how participation links to visibility, recognition and awards-related activity.

This isn’t about pressure or rules for the sake of it.

It’s about respect; for the process, for our judges and partners, and above all for the women who are ready, available and excited to take part in this opportunity.

Why attendance and engagement matter

When you enter EVAS, you’re not just submitting an application. You’re stepping into a programme that includes interviews, promotion, media, and a national awards ceremony.

Some elements of that journey are only possible when:

  • A Finalist fully participates

  • Interviews are attended

  • Awards night attendance is confirmed

Attending the EVAS Ceremony

All Finalists are required to book a ticket and are expected to attend the Enterprise Vision Awards ceremony, when the winners of each category will be announced.

Being in the room is an important part of the EVAS experience. It’s an opportunity to celebrate alongside fellow Finalists, support one another and share moments that simply cannot be recreated afterwards.

We recognise that attending involves a financial commitment. Through our Pay It Forward scheme, a limited number of supported places are available for Finalists experiencing financial difficulties. Where appropriate, we may also be able to offer additional assistance.

If illness, a family emergency or other exceptional circumstances affect your attendance, please contact the EVAS team as soon as possible. These situations will always be considered individually and sensitively.

How the EVAS RAG system works

We use a Green / Amber / Red system to show what’s included at each stage of the awards programme, based on participation and availability.

The aim is clarity and fairness so everyone understands how different stages of the programme work.

Green: Fully participating

You’re committed to taking part in the full EVAS programme.

  • Interview attended

  • Awards ceremony attendance booked and confirmed

  • Eligible for finalist and winner recognition and associated promotional activity

This is the complete EVAS experience, from visibility and celebration to connection and opportunity.

Amber: Limited participation

You’re part of the EVAS journey, but circumstances may affect your ability to take part in every stage.

  • Judging interview attended

  • Awards ceremony attendance may not be possible

  • Circumstances discussed with the EVAS team

  • Finalist recognition and relevant promotional activity may continue

We understand that unexpected illness, family emergencies and other exceptional circumstances can arise. These situations are considered individually and sensitively.

Not being able to attend the ceremony does not automatically affect your eligibility to win an award.

Early communication helps us understand your circumstances, explore possible support and agree the next steps.

Red: Not participating in the awards programme this year

You’re stepping back from the current EVAS awards process.

This may apply when:

  • A Finalist chooses to withdraw

  • The judging interview is not attended and no alternative arrangement has been agreed

  • A Finalist does not meet the programme’s participation requirements and their withdrawal has been confirmed with the EVAS team

Where a Finalist has formally withdrawn:

  • They are no longer eligible to receive an award that year

  • Awards-related promotional activity will cease

  • Their original shortlisting achievement remains recognised

This doesn’t close the door on EVAS. There will always be opportunities to connect, contribute and explore future involvement.

The interview
The Judges read every application carefully. The interview allows them to understand you. Your story, your impact, and your future plans. Without it, fair scoring isn’t possible.

The awards ceremony
This isn’t just a night out. It’s:

  • National visibility

  • Professional photography and video

  • Media opportunities

  • Connection with sponsors, partners and peers

  • A celebration of your achievement

Why being there makes a difference

The EVAS brings hundreds of women together to celebrate extraordinary achievements. Being present means sharing the excitement of the announcements, recognising the achievements of fellow Finalists and experiencing those unforgettable moments on stage.

The official photographs, the atmosphere, the connections and the celebrations are all part of what makes the evening special. We want every Finalist to experience that moment and be part of the celebration.

It’s a core part of the EVAS experience.
