Sustainability at the EVAS

No greenwash. Real action. Our goal: a net-zero event.

At the Enterprise Vision Awards, sustainability isn’t a slogan; it’s a promise.

We celebrate excellence while rethinking how an event of this scale can be lighter on the planet and smarter in design. Every year, we make conscious choices that reduce waste, cut carbon and spark conversations that matter.

What We’ve Changed So Far

We’re turning intention into impact:

  • Print with purpose Programmes reduced by 50%, with a full digital version online that doubles as a marketing platform for finalists and sponsors.

  • Cleaner travel Thanks to Blackpool Transport, over 200 guests now arrive in style via electric shuttle buses aka the EVAS Party Buses.

  • Smarter stays We partner with accommodation near rail and tram links and encourage guests to car-share or jump on public transport (the photos of EVAS guests in their finery on the tram are becoming a tradition).

  • #EVASRewear Our campaign that champions rewear, repurpose and recycle. Each year, more women proudly take the challenge, proving glamour and sustainability absolutely can share a stage.

  • Local and seasonal Entertainment, suppliers and catering are all sourced as close to home as possible, with fresh seasonal menus that support local producers.

Made from 100% Recycled Materials

Sustainability runs through every detail:

  • Award statues and centrepieces Crafted from discarded plastic, reborn as the iconic EVAS trophies and table designs.

  • Repurposed packaging Boxes for the awards were collected by Steph from Reed’s Refillery, delivered by Phil from Chorley Council, and decorated by Helen Taylor of Glazey Days and her team.

  • Photography backdrops Built from recycled cardboard.

  • Champagne bottle order tags Crafted from recycled cardboard – guess the brand! Stylishly repurposed for a second (or third) life.

  • Signage, selfie walls and props Redesigned and reused each year.

We’re building smarter every season to celebrate excellence while cutting carbon.

#EVASRewear – Where Style Meets Substance

Let’s cut to the chase: fast fashion is choking the planet. In the UK alone, 350,000 tonnes of clothes end up in landfill every year. That’s not fashion, that’s madness.

So, we’re rewriting the dress code. If you looked fabulous in it once, you’ll look fabulous in it again. Confidence is the new couture.

Our #EVASRewear challenge encourages everyone attending to rewear, rent, borrow, or reinvent what they already love. It’s about quality, not quantity.

If Julia Roberts can rewear Versace on the red carpet, so can we. The real flex? Saying, “Yes, I wore it before, and I’ll wear it again.”

Sustainability Isn’t a Trend, It’s Good Business

We’ve been taught that “new” equals success. It doesn’t.
It just means more waste and less imagination.

The resale and rental markets are booming because people, and businesses, are rethinking what value really means. Sustainability isn’t just moral; it’s commercially smart.

At the EVAS, we’re proud to celebrate brands and founders who are leading this shift, from circular fashion to local supply chains and carbon-conscious creativity.

Because style should never be disposable, and success should never come at the planet’s expense.
