Since 2016 not only have we served the people of Lancashire, but we have also had coverage across the whole of England and Wales. Carol Nuttall set up the company 8 years ago and since then, we have gone from strength to strength. Initially, the sole focus of Adlington Law was to assist clients aged 55+ with the legal aspects of Equity Release transactions. As Carol’s and Adlington Law’s reputation started to grow in the sector, we started to receive glowing reviews and more instructions. The team started to grow organically with Carol relying on some of her previous colleagues to come and join the team and help drive us forward. Carol is a self taught solicitor, who completed all her training whilst holding down a full time role and looking after 3 children. She is passionate about removing barriers to access in the legal profession so as Adlington Law continued to grow she opened the door for people who have no legal qualifications to join the team. We invested heavily in our people and looked at transferrable skills and if they would fit in to our family ethos. People joined the team from the retail sector, hospitality and even armed forces veterans. Giving people with passion a way into the sector is incredibly rewarding and Carol’s way of giving something back.

From the offset it was clear that Adlington Law was excelling in the Equity Release Sector and started to look at associated areas of Law that we could also with. Within a couple of years we have established a flourishing Conveyancing Department and also Private Client Department. This growth and diversification and compassionate approach enabled us to offer a full wrap around care for our clients – truly becoming a Later Life Specialist Law Firm. The future is bright for Adlington Law with Carol and the Team always looking at ways to develop and move the firm forward.
