‘The UK’s premier business awards for women’

The Robinson

The Robinson

Blackpool Council is delighted to support female entrepreneurship and celebrate the achievements of all ambitious business leaders across the region.

Blackpool Council has recently renovated Stanley Buildings, an art deco heritage building within the town centre, to address a gap in the provision of serviced office space suitable for the needs of smaller businesses.

Disused space has been converted into a range of flexible and affordable offices, meeting rooms and co-working space purposefully designed to inspire productivity, collaboration and growth.

This new centre is called The Robinson, named after its architect, John Charles Robinson, Blackpool’s most influential architect of the inter war years. Famous for designing the Derby and South Shore Open Air Baths as well as a plethora of civic buildings, schools, libraries, and tourism infrastructure.

The Robinson embodies the optimism and forward-thinking energy of its era. This sense of history and legacy has been captured in the building’s branding, which combines the best of yesteryear with the promise of a bright, modern future.

With 44 serviced offices, six high-spec meeting rooms and a vibrant co-working environment, The Robinson is more than just a place to work, it’s a community in the making. It’s a place where ideas can flourish, partnerships form and businesses grow, together.

Set across a beautifully refurbished site, The Robinson brings together classic architectural features with a sleek modern interior. Sustainability is at the heart of its design, with energy-efficient infrastructure such as solar panels and air source heat pumps dramatically reducing its carbon footprint. Modern amenities include high-speed fibre broadband, fully equipped kitchens, showers, and secure bike storage to further enhance the everyday experience.

Business support will be readily available, with regular events and assistance from The Blackpool Growth Business Academy, including access to scale-up specialists.

Its central location puts it just minutes from Blackpool’s key transport links, high street amenities and the iconic seafront, placing businesses at the heart of the action, with all the benefits of a connected, coastal location.

By sponsoring the Enterprise Vision Awards, Blackpool Council is proud to support a platform that shares its values of ambition, innovation and community. Together, we’re building a brighter future for business in Lancashire and beyond.

The Robinson invites the region’s brightest entrepreneurs, creatives and business professionals to experience this new business destination.
